No Dark Patterns Policy
Trust isn’t a vibe — it’s a set of choices.
This page defines what we refuse to do: manipulative design, fear-based prompts, forced upgrades,
and attention traps that turn “helpful software” into a landlord.
Why We Publish This Policy
Many products quietly rely on “behavior tricks” to grow: endless nudges, scary warnings, confusing cancel flows,
and default settings that benefit the company more than the user.
We’re building a different kind of studio. Calm technology means the user should feel
supported, not managed.
Trust compounds
People stick with tools that don’t play games with them.
Clarity reduces stress
A calm interface lowers cognitive load and decision fatigue.
Ethics is strategy
In a noisy market, quiet honesty becomes your differentiator.
What We Refuse (Non-Negotiable)
These patterns are common. We reject them — even if they “convert.”
No manipulation. No coercion. No traps.
If an interface needs pressure to “work,” it’s not a tool — it’s a funnel. We build calm technology, not conversion tricks.
This policy applies across the MoogleTechnology portfolio — because trust should be consistent, not situational.
Ads, One-Time Payments, and Choice
We want to be explicit about how our apps are funded. Some MoogleTechnology apps are supported by Google ads. This allows us to offer useful tools while continuing to invest in offline-first, privacy-respecting software.
For users who prefer a quieter experience, those apps provide an option to remove ads with a one-time payment. No subscriptions. No trials. No recurring charges.
At the same time, some of our apps are built differently — designed to be pay-once, ad-free, and exclusive from the moment you download them.
These apps do not contain ads, do not require subscriptions, and do not unlock features later. You pay once — and the full tool is yours.
Across the entire portfolio, we avoid using ads or pricing as pressure. You won’t see fear-based prompts, fake urgency, or manipulative upgrade tactics — regardless of whether an app is ad-supported or pay-once.
Calm technology isn’t about pretending tradeoffs don’t exist — it’s about making them visible, fair, and respectful.
What We Do Instead
Calm doesn’t mean empty. It means predictable, respectful, and legible.
Honest prompts
If something matters, we say it plainly. If it doesn’t, we don’t interrupt you.
User-owned data
Your work remains accessible. Exports are treated as a right, not a premium feature.
Transparent choices
Settings should be readable. Consent should be explicit. Defaults should be humane.
Failure-ready UX
When things break, the app helps you recover. That’s a trust feature.
Calm Technology Requires Ethical UX
If an app grows by manipulation, it can’t be calm. Our products are built to earn trust the slow way: by being useful, reliable, and honest.
